Hi, My name is Mimi and I'd love to coach your team.

My strengths as an improviser include: Grounding the base reality even in time-travel, otherworldly, or magical scenes; And'ing (that means adding information) efficiently (why waste a line?); Using movement, posture, facial expression to define your character and add information about your relationship to your scene partner; Being active in the scene rather than being a 'talking head.' I'd be so pleased to facilitate your team developing those skills.

AND... Started improvising in January 2011 (no breaks). Studied with brilliant improvisers and teachers such as Will Hines, Kevin Hines, Neil Casey, Anthony Atamanuik, Shannon O'Neill, Brandon Gardner, Chelsea Clarke, Laura Grey, Jordan Klepper (and many more) at UCB ; studied independently with Rebecca Drysdale, Amey Goerlich, and Christina Gausas.

AND... FORMS:
Have studied and performed Monoscene, Harolds (organic, monoscene, pattern game, scene painting, invocation - plus unusual harolds like silent, radio/bat, backwards), Spokane, LaRonde, Eventé, The Movie (studied with Atamanuik), and some Macroscene (studied with Kevin Hines).

EVEN MORE... as an older improviser I'm used to some scene partners denying my initiations in almost unconscious insidious ways, so I'm really attuned to ways you can keep the scene going when your partner isn't having what you're dishing out, and also strategies to more fully listen to and support your scene partners and help each other create greatness!

IN ADDITION... I'm cheap as dirt (inexpensive) because I'm not on a house team and probably will never be. Let my rue be your reward, I'm cool with that.
