Jie Ma

I have been studying and performing improv since 2019, mostly at Magnet with training elsewhere in acting, clown, commedia, and musical improv. I have been on two Magnet house teams--Mommy (2023 winter) and Neptune (2024 winter - current).

I am passionate about sharing what I know in a digestible and fun way. As a coach I bring joyful, positive energy, lots of prepared exercises, paired with specific, actionable feedback.

As a performer I like both stylized and emotionally authentic/embodied scene work, and love to explore all the different ways improv can help unleash our silliest and most playful selves.
