Jacob Horn

Hi there! I'm Jacob and I'd love to coach your improv or musical improv group. I'm on the Musical Megawatt team Nightshade at the Magnet Theater and was previously a member of the long-running team Public Pool. I've also helped host the Magnet's Musical Mixer, spent a year producing and hosting Razzle Dazzle: A Musical Variety Show, and currently direct the Magnet's Circuit program. Teaching experience includes substitute teaching for Magnet musical improv classes and workshops in Pittsburgh and Washington, DC.

I spend lots of time (probably too much) studying and performing improv because the challenge is rewarding and pays off with an insane amount of fun. As a coach, I aim to create a space for everyone to enjoy the hell out of the work you're doing while continuing to challenge you and help you grow as performers.

If you're curious about my training, I've been improvising since high school and started studying in New York shortly after the calendar hit 2014. My training has been mainly at UCB and the Magnet (both through Advanced Study/Conservatory levels), in addition to classes with some great independent teachers. I've also completed the Magnet's coaching class and am an approved coach for Musical Megawatt teams.
