Amara Leonard

I'm Amara Leonard and I'm a coach and performer based in NYC.

I have experience performing and coaching at The Magnet Theater, The Second City, The PIT, and The Annoyance Theater. I performed sketch, long-form improv, and short form improv with Mee-ow Comedy, Northwestern Sketch TV, and The Titanic Players at Northwestern University.

This year, I have been teaching improv over Zoom to teens, kids, and adults. Most recently, I led an improv workshop for "Voices In STEM" at Princeton University. You can find me performing with my team ORBS on the Highwire Improv/Socially Distanced slot after placing third in this year's March Madness. As coach I am invested in creating a warm rehearsal space, building improv technique, and cultivating truth and fun!
