Brian Kelley

At UCB for the past six years I've been under the tutelage of Anthony Atamanuik, Kate Zelensky, Molly Lloyd, Brandon Scott Jones, Morgan Grace Jarrett, Ryan Karels, Shaun Diston, Nicole Drespel, Michael Delaney, Billy Merritt, and James Dwyer. At Reckless Theatre, before it folded, I managed to take two levels, participate in their New Years Show (24 hour format styled off of DCM), and learn a very collaborative, internal, less-heady style of improv. At the Tank Theatre's flagship improv program, the Armory, I served for two seasons with two different teams. I've done jams and indie shows across the city since 2013, and have been doing characters and sets primarily at a show called B.Y.O.T. at UCBeast. I'm a big believer in relationships in scenes over anything, being agreeable with ideas, adapting to the mistakes, and realizing that game is a more universal concept than we care to admit. It's what makes improv different from narrative stories. Let's hang, do scenes, and I'll give thoughtful observations.
